I think this one goes in the “now I’ve seen everything column”. Anyone that has a male dog as a pet knows that they have that one toy that they seem to always get “fast and loose” with, at the most inopportune times, BUT do you really need a toy specifically for this situation?
I wish my Spanish was up to snuff because I’d love to read the website and see how they are spinning this product and getting it sold. Can someone please translate the site for me and let me know what it says? The link to the website IS HERE.

So you want to make your mark and launch that killer Guerrilla Marketing campaign that is going to get you noticed, get people talking and make your product and/or service the next biggest thing since sliced bread, right? These days, with the media blitz and the inundation people experience on a daily basis, guerrilla marketing is a great choice. Often affordable, usually always one of a kind and never done before and generally high profile, there are lots of advantages to this type of campaign. While these freedoms and flexibilities are attractive, it is important to remember that this unorthodox approach to marketing can have some serious consequences.
Take for example a campaign that recently hit headlines. A campaign for Turner Broadcasting’s “Aqua Team Hunger Force” on it’s Adult Swim program mistakenly landed people in jail and on the hot seat when it was mistaken for a terrorist plot. The agency in charge of the campaign placed the Adult Swim character that looked like a bomb on light poles, signs, tunnels and street signs all over the greater Boston area. The only problem, nobody ever alerted the city authorities that they were going to do such a thing.
The net result? A huge fine paid by the marketing agency and ALSO by Turner Broadcasting. Not exactly what one would call “looking out for your client’s best interests”.
The take home story here is that Guerrilla Marketing can be fun and it can be outrageous. Much like any traditonal campaign though, it must be planned out and well executed to avoid disaster.

I pity the fool that had to upload files. Ok, maybe not really. Lots of our clients come into my office and wonder why I have so many toys around my desk, on the shelves and in drawers. The main reason: I seem to spend most of my life uploading or downloading things.
Sometimes while downloading, I can move on to the next thing. But sometimes you can’t and that is when boredom sets in. While waiting, I either play fetch with my dog, Arto (NOTE: when you own your own company, they can’t tell you not to bring your dog to work), or I futz around with one of the many bobble heads, pez dispensers, action figures or handheld games that I’ve accumulated over time.
I guess it’s my way of keeping my sanity and still remembering that even though work is important and serious stuff, sometimes it’s okay to let Mr. T play with Run DMC for a little bit

Check out our newest logo creation for the guys at My Octagon Store. As a currently “undercover” start up company, we can’t tell you what they do, BUT we can tell you that they are involved in the MMA industry. The cages the fighters fight in are Octagon shaped, hence the name of the company we helped them define and the logo with the octagons we created. The brushed metal and spraypaint effects give the logo a “tough” feel that is in keeping with the sport of Mixed Marital Arts and the fighters that fight in the matches.

So anyone that has kids or is into pop culture will know this little brown dude to the left as Domo. Domo is a Japanese character that is quite popular. In fact, last year he was the focus of a campaign that Target did around Halloween.
Well, it seems that 7-11 is the latest company to cash in on Domo’s popularity. Their plans are to feature him with a signature Apple Slurpee, special cups and straws and viral videos where Domo is on a quest to get a slurpee, but falls to the expierinece we have all had….brain freeze.
While this is kind of interesting, it wasn’t the joint venutre that caught my eye, but rather the quote the marketing manager of the Slurpee brand gave the writers at Brand week:
“Domo lends itself well to the store and our proprietary products and our consumers who… love crazy Japanese shit.”
Niiiiice. Or is it? What do you think? To read the whole article, go here:
